3070 replacing a 5700XT, good choice?

I wasn't looking for an upgrade but a decent deal came up on an MSI 3070 Gaming Z Trio LHR so I acted fast and got one.

Is it a decent upgrade in performance over my 5700XT Nitro for 1440p or I shouldn't have bothered?

Depends. Define "a decent deal". 5700 XTs sell for £700-800 on Ebay though.

Seems like a no-brainer then. Sell the 5700 XT and it's a free upgrade, or close to it. There's no question about the 3070 being the better card.

I upgraded from a PowerColor 5700XT to a MSI Suprim X 3070 last year. Managed to pick it up for £625 luckily. I absolutely love the card, does everything I need it to.
