A shop to convert into a salon for my wife's business.

What a state it is! Previous tenant obviously didn't take care of the place.

Progress is going well. Should look good when done in 3-4 weeks.

Done and now properly broke :D can't take any photos of the front as there is currently scaffolding up.

I'm really happy with how it came out. There is a staff room/kitchen at the back as well.

@LiE my other half is a hairdresser too, ex salon now mobile. Just showed her that and she's very impressed. Looks great. :)

Thanks! My wife was mobile for about 8 years before we converted our loft into a home salon. She's done home salon for 3 years before getting this place. Slow growth over the years meant she can open a salon and be basically fully booked.

Not bad at all for a months(?) work.

Yea pretty tight deadline, we had to get it ready for Xmas which is one of the busiest months for a hairdresser.

@LiE that's a fantastic job! Well done and best of luck, I'm sure it'll be brilliant.

Your Christmas tree is wonky.
You are right. It was as close as I could get it while getting a 7yr old to eyeball it. Balls to redoing that.

Where'd you get that rug?

Beliani.fr
Apparently according to my order history :D
They've gone out of business, because… well, look at it. :D:D
Aw thanks, glad you like it :) haha :p

What's the odd speaker on side board? Not seen anything like that previously.

Made it, it's a bluetooth speaker made from a Cristal Champagne box. Often use it outside in summer connected to Google home.

It's a nice rug! Really ties the room together...

I thought so. I am not a rug buyer, but thought it worked with the colours I was going for anyway. I like it, so that's all I care about.

Bought something else to go where the rug is. Needs a bit of work, but was always the aim to fill the space with this...

Plenty of work needed. I'll tart it up a bit and hope it plays OK as I'm giving the Korg electric piano to the ex. I like how it fills the space anyway. Hopefully the legs stay on it and it doesn't fall apart :p that thing weighs a considerable amount I can tell you with much experience.

It’s nice, but can I be honest, I’d have stuck a pool table there. You can get some right classy looking ones like the Supreme Prince.
