As an at best casual racing fan (I haven’t watched a full race since the Braun season) I really enjoyed it, they managed to make him human and show a personality that I don’t remember being very evident when he was driving. The interview with his son at the end is very touching and I have no problem with the family not wanting to go into detail about his current condition, it is just morbid curiosity that makes people want to know.

I respect the request for privacy, but this seems at odds with then being paid by journalist for publicity access as in the documentary.

I think there's a difference to giving a documentary on his racing career whilst requesting privacy regarding his condition after his accident.
