Picked it up and drove it home. Sun was shining, no snow to be seen in the south east. I love it. May wait till spring before exploring what she can really do.

JDM tyte yo!

Collected my M5 yesterday. Sadly driving home in the dark and ******* rain wasn’t the best time to become acquainted with it. At least it was surefooted and got me home safe and sound.

It comes with a super-thick manual, so my bedtime reading is sorted for a while :D

First track day today in the Exige and it was bloody terrifying :eel:

Snowed on track night before and with temperatures around 5c for the day and aviation fuel over the track I’ve never experienced slippy ness like it before apart from when driving on very greasy or icy roads, though the major reason for the issue was my choice of tyre.

should have really taken the any of my other cars would have been a better choice having normal summer tyres or even better still the Yaris.

No matter how hard I tried the Michelin Cup 2’s refused to warm up and as such I was fighting chronic understeer, locking up under braking and very tail happy, in short a very nervous car.

However I still had an amazing time and what a well organised day it was, even with such terrible conditions only two red flags and empty circuit for most of the day as people would not go out.

Needless to say I went out lots, even spent 45 minutes out at one point lol. :D

My DIY silencer also worked a treat had the valves open all day and towards end of the day was going full chat past the MIC through all gears and never triggered a black flag so seem to have made my Exige track friendly. It has made a drastic difference to noise levels as I can hear how much quieter it is now and I think it also don’t look too bad either. It just slides on and for extra measure I use spring clips to hold it on.

Just picked this up this morning. Made a very low offer (4500) that I thought was going to be rejected but to my surprise they accepted. Not really sure whether to flip it and make a few k or give it to my wife. Would be quite an upgrade from her old Caliber but she's never driven anything like it before.

It has a slight drip from a radiator hose but after driving it around all day I can't actually find anything else wrong (surprising, I know!). Love these old supercharged V8s, very underrated engine IMO.
