Hi,

New to the forum but was advised by a friend to ask on here about building a new gaming PC.

Although i've been gaming for a while i have never built a PC before and if i'm being honest even though i know the basics of PC components, my knowledge is infact pretty small.

I have a budget of £2,000 (although i could push to around £2,500 if it was a great deal) but this includes needing a new main monitor and keyboard.

Is there anyone here who could recommend parts from overclockers to help me?

Ps. I love a bit of RGB so that would be a nice addition if possible.

If you want a ready to go pc, the Sabre is prob the best bet at the mo...below has a 3070ti in there, a 12600kf cpu, z690 msi tomahawk mobo, 500gb sn750se boot drive and a 1tb sn550 for holding your games...I'd phone and change the psu from a branze rated to a gold rated, and you can always change the RAM to some RGB stuff also..cheapest 3070ti on OCuk at the mo is £1,100 by itself, so Sabre not bad starting point if you don't want to build

You can use a 750W psu but I'd prefer an 850W just to give you a bit of scope for future upgrades..the 3 below are all on offer at mo
Regarding ram, and you starting fresh and prices have dropped, I'd get 2x16gb. The crucial has the best timings but is more expensive and at 1440p gaming prob 1-2fps difference..unfortunately out of stock atm, but the kingston and corsair there, so take a look

Here's an idea for a nice white RGB build based on Intel's new 12600k Alderlake CPU. Meets the £2k budget. GPUs are over priced, not much can help right now with that though... However the MSI Suprim is a great model, good cooling and temps, pre-overclocked and OCs well in general usually.

Quite a lot of the items are on sale atm fortunately which helps, only 6 of those GPUs left too, so it might pay to decide soon'ish :D

Keyboard & monitor are really your own personal choice, but I'd definitely recommend at least a 1440p IPS display to make the most out of your system. Something like this LG 27" GP850-B is a great panel for it's 1440p res, 180Hz refresh rate, IPS panel, G-Sync compatible, low response time etc... Perfect for gaming.

Case wise, you could also go for the Corsair 4000D White. Has a glass front and 3 RGB fans included, you could move them so it's 2 top, 1 rear for exhaust. Then front-mount the 360mm AIO for intake still. Either way it'd look great.

There is a white version of the RAM but it's OOS at OcUK, so if you fancy it, look elsewhere for the white Corsair RAM. Grab a 32GB kit ;)

Get on telegram on phone, subscribe to fepart alert... Been a drop and you can get a 3080ti for £1049, still available... Naybe cheaper cards will drop later... Cheaprst way of getting current gen gpu

million dollar question..with nvidia arc gpu's being launched next year, hopefully may be more available which will soften prices, but all speculation...europe drop couple of days ago were 3090,3080ti, 3080 and 3060ti and only 3090/3080ti dropped last night, so still worth getting on fepartalert in case they drop rest today/next couple days..for example, 3090fe was £1399, but just checked auction site and ones already up to £2,350 from bids...the nvidia drops are all at msrp...3060ti £369, 3070 £469, 3070ti £529 and 3080 £649

You prices saw a small drop but then increased again ,intel entering the gpu market may force prices down but who knows.

Personally i think it's going to be like this for another year at least

I think Intel ARC graphics cards will push prices down.
