What a ridiculous view to take. Meat is bloody expensive. Nothing wrong in taking the guesswork out of it to ensure you don’t ruin it.

Even pro chefs use meat thermometers

Beyond that, it's a hobby. I love my sous vide and am now looking at this Meater too. Looks like a great little addition to my cooking toolbox.

They are great - saves the constant peeking and prodding with a handheld probe and losing heat in the process.
