You run a new business quote with the same details / cover you have on your renewal; if the NB quote is significantly lower then there is something fishy going on as that shouldn't happen any more.

It’s just a way to legalise price fixing at a higher cost. Well played.

The way this is worded, they are reporting it as fact not opinion.

If your renewal is due in January, get a quote locked in today.

Mine's due Jan 5th.

I've already sorted my renewal though.

Renewal invite was only £6 less than last year so I called and said no thanks, can I have my proof of NCB letter. Agent on other end asked if I would let him look at bettering it. Came back with a quote, £400 LESS than the renewal invite. (£823) for the exact same policy as the previous year & threw in key cover as an apology for the "absurd renewal invite price".
