Yeah, so many games out in next month or so which look tempting.

Horizon: forbidden west
Elden ring
Gran Turismo 7

Seems odd Sony releasing GT7 and HFW so close together actually? Will probably just get GT7 unless the reviews for the others are particularly exceptional.
There completely different style of games so I don't see any issue myself

I feel the same. I wouldn’t normally buy two releases so close together but since they are so different it doesn’t matter.

Elden Ring I’ll pick up later but if it’s as hard as Sekiro I might not even bother. I love From games but I don’t think I have the time or patience for them anymore.

Horizon FW is £51 for a physical PS4(5) copy from Curry's. Seems to be cheapest at the moment and should be able to sell it on for about £45 on FB marketplace if you finish it in a week or so.

Sadly some of us don’t have access to fibre yet. :(

It’s coming this year down our country lane but no specific date as yet.

GT7 will therefore take me about 20 hours to download for now.

That was pre fibre though surely?

Yeah, 2008 - 2011 I think I played GT5 on a 5Mb connection. Or was it? In fact no, it was 2010 to 2012 I think I was playing it. Prologue in 2008. Wasn't until March 2016 I got FTTC.

Downloads were a real pain on the PS3 back then. Let alone how long it took to install on laptop drives.

It's sad, but not having fibre would be a total showstopper on buying a new house, it's so integral to everything i do. Can't imagine downloading porn on adsl:cry:.

Was going to get Starlink until I found out that fibre is on its way.

Will be going from 16Mb/2Mb to 250Mb/50Mb, which will be nice!

As long as they bring back career mode with loads of rally races I'll be sold.

On a separate note has anyone seen youtube clips of the upcoming lego star wars game, I might be close to 50 but it put a huge smile on my face. All 9 films covered and a really nice art style and the combat looks good.

Your post reminded me to pre-order the Skywalker Saga. I am of a similar age bracket but still love playing playing Lego games with my daughter.

Not sure if this comes out before Easter this but will be our chill out game to help her unwind from Uni. Currently got the Lego Marvel collection going on slow burn, as she has too much work to do.

That'll be massive. I went from 32Mbps to 1Gbps (up/down) in November, it's been utterly sublime. Full games download in minutes, patches take seconds and usually it's the "copying" (which Sony said wouldn't be a thing anymore...) that takes longer. Really impressed with PSN download speeds too, they max out my connection whereas Xbox Game Pass games on the PC barely even use half.
