I know its going to disappoint some people but im in need of a sound bar for my living-room. I have physically heard the sonos sound bar and sub and it sounds great for a sound bar. Is there any better options for the same or less money? I really dont want to go full surround. But just about to pull the trigger on a new Sony TV and my existing bar has literally just died.

We have the Arc+Sub and it works really well in our smallish living room.

A soundbar would never be as good as dedicated speakers but the benefit was how good it sounds for very little set up effort and it's a pretty sleek looking device.

If it's purely soundbar on its own - Sony HT-A7000

If Soundbar and sub - Sonos arc + sub.

Best choice price wise - Samsung HW-Q950A

If going full soundbar, sub and rears then again it's the Sony, but it's also the most expensive. They also have upfiring Atmos rear speakers coming in April to replace their current ones.

I've got the Denon Home 550, it's excellent, goes far louder than my neighbours would tolerate, supports all the streaming services, plays USB FLAC/WAV/MP3 has earc etc etc, Dolby Atmos and is fairly small.
