and didn't I get a 15k tiffy?
you know i could have sworn i gave you your 15K tiffy today :o

think i must have missed a few 7.5Ks too that i would normally have awarded - must be feeling in a scrougey mood :p

i'll edit the tiffy's in a mo - gonna check who else i've missed out

edit: ok sorted the tiffy's - sorry about that
think i got a bit confused with which scores to recognise as tiffy's

i've decided on
1K 2.5k 5k 7.5k 10k 15k 20k 25k 30k 40k 50k ..... 90k 100k 120k 140k ..... 180k 200k 225k 250k 275k 300k etc
as it should keep most people happy i would hope :)

My production wasnt great this week I must have got some low scoring units. Quick question. I upgraded to 2Gb of ram but I have my console set up for 1GB how can I change the settings. Also should I make the full 2GB available to each core or 1Gb per core?
Thanks
Scott

To change the configuration of the client first stop the service running (Right-Click My Computer and select Manage -> Services and Applications -> Services, scroll down to the FAH service and stop it)

Browse to the console and make a shortcut to it and then in the shortcut properties add the -configonly switch to the end of the shortcut target so it reads

"C:\Program Files\Folding@Home\FAH502-Console.exe" -configonly

run the shortcut and you will get a client window with the config options in it

After you have finished the window will close automatically (as you used the configonly switch) and then you can restart the service.

As for how much memory to allow for a dual core system you should really only allow half the total for each core - of course if if they do release something that looks for over 1Gig you may want to reconfigure the clients again (currently i don't think there is anything nearly that large).

Still being cursed with the p75x units, but on the plus side got a fair few 600'rs to make up the difference.

I could swear stamford track what you do and give you rubbish units to slow you down, but then i may be paranoid :)

@sgoaty, IIRC the latest beta version of F@H console allows you to set in the config how much memory is reported/permanent advmethods also.

You may have upset the foldy-gods. At the next full moon, try overclocking a celeron to destruction. If that doesn't work then try a P4, AMD 64, Opteron etc. until you get better WUs ;)

Yay/woot.

I stompio'd three people!!!!!11111oneoneone :D

Got three CPUs online now, and they shouldn't be crapping out on WU's now either :p

Opteron at 2.5GHz, Athlon 1700 @ 2GHz, and an XP3000 at *about* 1.4GHz (its in a crappy SiS board that doesn't recognise it).

Happy New Year everyone :)

I'm down one A64 3500, but not sure for how long (its gone off to the owner, so when they start it up we will be back on track)

why not swap em round so you've got the 3000 on a board that supports it?
or buy NF7 V2s for em all!

Yeah, I've got a Socket A board coming in the new year (well it IS the new year but you know what I mean). I originally put the 3000 in because I wanted to OC the 1700 in an NF7. I can't be arsed swapping them both back, but I will if this replacement board falls through.

Might be able to ask a mate to bring his two P4's online as well (3GHz each).
