Ok guys this is brought on because of the 3200Xp price thread.

Current spec.
3200XP Barton with a Gigabyte Rocket cooler fitted that will do 2.4 using clockgen although i don't bother.
Gigabyte GA 7N400E Mobo.
X800pro@pe with Arctic cooler fitted.
2Gig of Geil. As is.
Antec trueblue 480w.
Council Beige tower with DIY drill holes to suit.
Temps are around 30c Ambient, 49c CPU temp under load.
Gets me 6007 3D Mark 05 points.

What i want to to know is how much will i get for my Barton and Mobo.
Then what can i get to replace to upgrade and how much more performance could i expect.
Odviously i want to cover most of the upgrade with the sale.
Please take into consideration that my system is totally stable and runs BF2 like a dream and stays cool no matter what i do with it or the time of the year.
Would i be better of sticking with what i got or is there a better option out there.
Suggestions welcomed and thanks for reading/helping/posting.

3200xp is 18months old as is the mobo.

Well your old system isn't bad at all, second hand prices can only be discussed in the relevant MM section however unless you go Dual Core/X1800XT or better route I doubt you'll see much of an improvement. If your happy with it why change? But if you want to change for the future then you'll be looking around £600ish for the upgrade.

For example :-

CP-134-AM AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ (Socket 939) - Retail (ADA3800BVBOX) (CP-134-AM)
£169.95 £169.95
MB-129-AS Asus A8R-MVP Crossfire (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-129-AS)
£64.95 £64.95
GX-044-CO Connect3D ATI Radeon X1800 XT 256MB GDDR3 AVIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-044-CO)
£179.95 £179.95
Subtotal £414.85
Shipping (City Link Parcel Next Day (Delivered Mon-Fri)) £8.95
VAT £74.17
Total £497.97

Plus any extra's that crop up as a result of you selling things.

BigDom thanks mate but i meant to sell the CPU and MOBO only and what to replace that with using the money from sale and as little as possible.
I do agree though it performs well with no probs so i should stick with it. But i can't help thinking i should sell the 3200XP while the prices are high.

One thing I would say is sell *** graphics if you do, not sure how much you'll get for it, however second hand AGP prices are very keen so you'll probably find selling the X800 will get you most of the way to the price of a X1800.

Agreed.
So sell the CPU Mobo and GFX and get ?
My spec is what I'd consider the minimum for a worthwhile upgrade.

WHOOPS just noticed two X1800's snook in.
