my friend got some ebook of ebay telling him how to take advantage of online roulette, and it tells you how to bet and what on etc, and from his experiance it works, i was just wondering what the legality of it was as he was asking me for advice as he thought it seemed slightly wrong, surely its illegal, cheating at casino or fixing or somthing, or is it the online casinos fault for leaving this hole in its system? cheers for any help

How are we meant to know if its "illegal" if we don't know what it is?

Its probably some lame system like bet on every number apart from 2 of them, then theres a high probability of winning everytime.

I'd only do that in a real casino though

There arent any ways to exploit an online casino really, unless theres a bug in the particular casinos software, we need more information.

Unless this is some secret ploy to get us to buy YOUR ebook on roulette stratergy :)

If you think it may be illegal then do not post it on the forums until you know it is not.

It is not the place for it, if you want a answer email the customer support of the company he plays with and ask annonamously. :)

If your friend is just betting using some random strategy in a "e-book" sold on Ebay, then he's just wasting his money, he will lose in the long run. Something like a Martingale strategy will let you win a small amount a number of times "in exchange" for, from time to time, losing much more.

The only "exploit" that can make money in an online casino is by taking advantage of signup and monthly bonuses, and so on, almost all of which exclude roulette anyway.

Don't let your friend get conned by a "strategy" that will lose him money.

More than likely covering all the outcomes which is why such bets are banned for fulfilling bonus' consequently getting your account banned.

If the exploit is so good, why does the seller of the ebook need to sell it?
Surely he's made his fortune through using the exploit? :p

I'm pretty sure roulette online and the machines are fixed. If you cover allbut 0, you lose the fourth spin. My dad tried it in ladbrokes and its crazily fixed. You can't beat roulette, its purely down to luck. There are NO systems to beat it.

ebook on eBay are just cons for people to sell. You seen the make £1,000 a week ebooks on ebay, all you are buying is an ebook telling you to sell this ebook on ebay

There is no way you can cheat or fix online gambling, its so fixed but like someone said you can take advantage of 50+ sites that offer a £25/£50 free bet if you bet £25/50.

I would question that, unless he's played and recorded thousands of hands you have nothing more than a vague hypothesis.

Of course you will lose money in the long run, but that's because of the house edge on the game, not because it's rigged. Ladbrokes have little reason to try and "rig" the game.

He's played it thousands of times, yes. Has he recorded it? No.
Betting on all numbers purposely to see if a 0 comes up and it does on the fourth time? Fishy.
