I am considering purchasing a Zalman reserator and would like to know
A) Is it compatible with an Amd Athlon processor on an Asus A7N8X m/b.
B) Is it compatible on a Winfast 4200 Graphics card.
c) Will it fit into an Antec P180 case.
D) Is it future proof with other m/b's and video cards.
E) Does it run silently as i need to have my machine running as silent as possible.

I would be grateful for all comments please

Hiya,

Ask away :)

A: Its always best to have at least one case fan, a rear fan extracting hot air will be best. If the noise bothers you, the fan can be 7V modded, or you can replace your current fan/s with Akasa ambers and 7V mod them too!

Fan mod link: http://www.cpemma.co.uk/7volt.html

B: Yes there were issues with the first Reserator (the blue one) pump failure, leaky flow valves are just a couple. The Reserator 1 Plus (the black one) which is currently on sale seems to have got rid of those problems.

It’s a solid unit, you will be very happy with it.

I think i may have worded my questions incorrectly, when i asked if the Zalman Reserator would fit into a P180 case i only meant all the relevant components.
I see it sounded like i meant the actual Reserator, mind you i must have given some folks a laugh though :).

Well there are two more questions before i decide
1) Is the build quality good
2) Is it worth the price tag

I dont know why i did not ask these questions in the first place.

And its a good job i am not Spanish or my parents would have named me

The build quality seems fine. The original Reserator had a crappy flow indicator, but that was fixed with the 1 Plus - not that I have the indicator in the system though...

Is it worth the money, tough one. It is expensive for what it is, but it is easy to setup and it does work well. I think it is worth the money, that's why I bought one.

Same here, mine is totaly silent. I leave it on 24/7

The road to quietness is an expensive one though, the only thing left in my rig that makes any sort of noise is my 74gig Raptor, ive just bought one of those SilentMaxx enclosures for £35
