Looking to spend no more than $200AUS (80 pounds) for a Socket 939 board.
I'll just list what the board must have and let you guys take it from there.
Must Have:
- Onboard sound (Something fairly decent, and stock ac'97 headers, not high definition)
- Onboard Ethernet
- Atleast 2 rear USB's, and another 2 headers for front USB
- 4 ram banks
- Must be jumperless (Not including the cmos jumper, obviously)
- 1 x PCI-e slot and 2 or 3 PCI
- Atleast 2 SATA plugs
- Must be able to handle an X2 3800+ or better (havent chosen a chip yet, could go as high as a 4400)
- Must be pretty much plug and play, i wanna bang everything in, hit optomized defaults and go, i shall tweak it later. (This may count out DFI boards, from what i've heard)
Would be nice to have, but not essential:
- SLi ready, i only have one card at the moment, but that could change
- Onboard video, incase my card goes pop
- More than 2 SATA plugs
And thats about it.... i dont ask for much, do i?
If you think of anything else i didnt consider, feel free to chip in.
