upgrade advice needed

below is my current pc spec and what i would like not know is :

1 Geforce 7900 GTX OC 512MB GDDR3 is better than having
2 GeForce 6800gt in sli mode

i can't afford to buy 2 geforce 7900gtx cards

the 7900 gtx is quite a bit faster than the 6800gt's even in sli mate

i play games at 1280*1024 as my samsung tft doesn't go anyhigher
