PC to PC wireless gaming???

Me and my friend want to play a few games against each other at the same
house using a wireless network. He already has the wireless router setup on one pc and the wireless network adapter setup on the other PC, So they share the same broadband connection. But what next .Do we both load a game eg battlefield and setup in the options screen Please help thanks

One of you needs to create a LAN server, don't know where it is haven't played BF2 in a long time, from there the other needs to look at the Local servers list, provided you havent got firewalls or something blocking you on your local network, the server should appear, then you can join it like you would online.

You may also need to open up some ports on your router depending on its configuration.
