Thoughts about On speed?

I have a limited BB connection due to the distance from the exchange to my house. BT sent me a program called Onspeed.

Has anybody used it and is it worth installing?

I had a 30 day trial when I was on dialup, and for surfing, and general browsing....whoosh.
Well recomended.
It wont make any difference (I dont think so anyway...) to the speed of the likes of mp3 downloads or applications etc.

I'd say give it a go anyway, if it comes to it then uninstall it

I used it for about a year when i was stuck on dial-up. It is worth installing as i did find it sped things up a little. All data is sent via thier servers which enable them to compress it. Found it most benficial on sites that have lots of adverts as the images killed my 56k connection.

EDIT: As said above downloads will not be any faster.
