why is wiring such a nightmare

i had everything working in my spitfire, changed the fog light switch today and now i have no fog lights, no hazard warning lights, no horn, no brake lights.

arrrgg where is the number for a good auto electrician

I'd go with a blown fuse as a first bet... or you've melted some wiring right in the middle of the loom

fuse was blown which fixed the front lights and the horn but i still have no hazard warning lights or more importantly brake lights

That's where you went wrong. You had everything working but still felt the need to tinker

Thank your lucky stars you don't own the metalflake green lowrider bug I saw in a mag a couple of years back, that is entirely wired in green wire :/
