I never hung out in GW, but when I was 12 I painted the figures. Never really played the game tbh, I just liked painting stuff.

When I was 12 I painted bridges, trains, underpasses...

Necro alert! :D (Last post, 2006!)

But does anybody still do this anymore?

While doing an attic tidy today I found my old CB rig.

Is it actually worth powering it up and seeing what happens.

(I will anyway, but I thought I would ask just for fun :p )

Sorry Gilly but it was SWR meter :p :D  I think

Yep Standing Wave Ratio but people pronounced it Swar as in can I borrow your Swar meter.......last you ever saw of it. A licence was needed for the CB27/81 (27meg FM) but years before it was legal we were on AM/SSB and pushing out much more power than the .04W and 4W units.

I had a numerous rigs from a Hygain 5 to my Ultimate rig. A Tristar 848 Sidebander.
Had loads of rigs inbetween. These days Truckers use the higher frequencies allowed as all the wallies are on 27Mhz.

Here's my daughter in my rig on my rig when she was about 2. She's 29 now
