Free message boards?

Hello

I'm helping out my lad's school with a few web things and they want to run a message board.

I just want to be able to go onto a message board provider site, put a few parameters in and for it to work, rather than having to host it myself.

Google brings up loads, so was wondering if anyone could recommend a very simplistic one. Ideally one where you dont have to register and there aren't adverts on it.

Oh yeah, and ideally it will be free

I just found this free webhost, not sure if it meets all your criteria though.

Maybe have a look for fantistico. It's a sort of script which enables you to setup lots of open source packages easily. The link above has phpbb2 which is quite a common forum setup.

I've used http://www.boardhost.com/ many moons ago. It's still popular today and it should do what you require.

or alternatively you could stop being a tight git and pay the two quid (p/m) it would cost you to get one hosted.
