I wanted to upgrade the disc my Win2k3 Server was installed on. I created a ghost image using Ghost 9.0 and then replaced the disc. Then transfered the image back onto the disc and let it boot up.
However, whenever it boots up, it loses all the original settings, both systems and active directory. It appears as if its a fresh install, when infact there is 2 years of activity there. In another cruel twist of fate, by trying to mirror the original c drive to duplicate it, my RAID controller seems to have sent it up **** creek. Thus, the only original artifact I have now is the ghost image that doesnt work.
I have tried everything I can think of, but am stuck. I can view all the files in my backup image, is there any way to recover Active Directory from this and restore it on a fresh Win 2k3 server?
