For the past couple of weeks my polo has been making odd squeaking and knocking noises from the front end on the drivers side. A mate of mine who is a mechanic had a look at it for me last night and told me the roll bar bushes had gone and that they would need to be replaced.
He gave me a call earlier today and told me that you can no longer get the bushes as this is a common issue with this car and so VW have remodelled the whole roll bar unit, meaning i'm going to have to get the whole roll bar replaced which is going to set me back at least £100.
Has anyone else had this problem, and if its such a major fault that VW have had to redesign the whole roll bar unit, is there any chance of VW sorting this for me?
