The 17-55 is the first IS lens I have had and noticed that battery usage has gone up a fair amount, I'm getting a few days of shooting out of one charge with moderate IS use as opposed to a whole week going on 2 weeks with no IS, anyone else find this?

I've ordered a 1500mAh battery to see how long that lasts (this one is 900mAh)

Never realised IS could use so much battery :o

I have noticed little battery life problems but I have to say you are using a low power battery Rob.

My Canon one is a 1390mAh and my Hans are 1500 mAh

Battery life was never a prob for me. I have 6.

350D comes with a 750 as standard and I bought a 900 ages ago so that may explain why! the 1500 if it does indeed last a whole weeks worth of IS usage then I will buy another and be done with that :D
