Can safely say that Stiniog is mega fun and well worth a visit. No offs either, which is always a bonus and the weather was perfect. Happy enough that I managed to keep upright on the techy ones riding clipped in, by far the rowdiest terrain I've tackled yet. Feeling it in the quads and arms...

    Advice on replacing brake caliper

https://www.tweekscycles.com/uk/shimano-br-m6100-deore-2-piston-caliper-madbrm6100fr/ This would be a direct replacement as it's the same hose fitting, and Deore stuff is great in terms of price to performance.

None in the weight ranges I needed for the geometry/weight combo unfortunately, was riding a 700lb linear coil and the heaviest progressive I could find was 550-670. I loved how the coil just felt like the back end was floating over everything but the air shock suits a bit better for composure...

    *** Elden Ring ***

Once unlocked, does respeccing take all your stats down to 1 and give you free reign, or just back to your starting attributes for the class? Feel I've made some wasteful choices early game and getting close to the point where I can unlock it.

Decided to give an air shock a go in place of the coil currently on the bike - frame linkage is very linear so a coil isn't ideal.

    Road Cycling

Not quite a road bike, more gravel focused but it's my first bike ever that doesn't have a suspension fork, so its close! Commuter and weekend gravel rides planned.

Had a trip out to Leeds urban bike park yesterday and for a free facility it's absolutely mega. Great for brushing up on skills too.

    Road Cycling

Strictly a gravel bike but will be used for commuting on the roads too, just ordered myself a Lapierre Crosshill and should hopefully have it towards the end of next week. Been wanting to get something a bit more road orientated but still usable on my commute that's about 40% gravel paths if I...

Considering converting my Vitus into a bit of a commuter bike, as it never gets used these days now that I'm on the full squish. Besides tyres and mudguards there isn't much else to do? Quite limited on what size chain rings the 1x can fit.

    BMW and M Power Owners

So to tidy up! Yes 4 doors are a requirement hence the M3 and not the M4. I need a decent load capacity and the M3/340 both having split rear seats means the boot space can be expanded as large as required. I'd love to be looking at a Cayman, Mustang etc but I just don't see them working out...

    BMW and M Power Owners

What did I start here? :p So the reasons for looking at these 2 cars is they're a similar cost to buy (looking at around 37-40k approved used models) currently, of course this may well change by January when we're ready to drop the cash but regardless. The M340i is no doubt a mega car for...

    BMW and M Power Owners

So me and the other half are looking to replace our leased Cupra early next year so getting ideas of cars in place now to keep an eye on the market. From the BMW stable, originally we liked the look of the 4GC in 440i guise, but after finding out split folding seats are a standard on the G20 3...

    Audi owners in here!

We're soon to be looking at picking up a new car to replace my leased Leon Cupra and wanted something a bit bigger, we've narrowed it down to either an S5 Sportback or a BMW 440i Gran Coupe. Is there a list anywhere online of what was standard kit on a circa 2018 S5, looking through the Audi...

Trying out a forward GPS mount that sits on the steerer, looks much better than having spacers and a GPS mount sitting on top of the steerer tube to clear the stem And new pedals, first time away from flats in my lifetime, feels odd but good. Certainly need a lot more practice at unclipping...

    Electric underfloor heating - thermostats

Hi all, So we've recently moved into a new house that has electric underfloor heating in the kitchen, but it's a generic on/off thermostat with a manual temperature dial so I'm looking to swap it for something with programmable or wifi control. Does anyone have any recommendations, preferably...

    The nervous wait to exchange....

First time purchase completed yesterday, feeling a combination of joy, relief and fatigue currently . I forgot about the joys of moving, still need to figure out how the heating systems work properly and get into unpacking but fortunately we have 2 weeks off work from next week to sort...

how smart has your home gone?

So, a couple of questions if people can help? Moving into a new house soon and trying to understand some options 1. Any recommendations for zigbee dimmer switches? There's a ball of spotlights in pretty much every room so I don't fancy dropping multiple hundreds on Hue GU10 bulbs 2. Smart...
