AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3D Cache Eight Core 4.5GHz (Socket AM4) Processor - Retail - Go Go Go xD

Are there any benchmarks in MMO's for these, in particular WOW ?

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D retail processor has been tested ahead of launch

Yeah that's kind of crazy when you think of it that way, its a fair bit better in games though.

AMD Zen 3 (5000 Series), rumored 17% IPC gain.

Every version of Ryzen has had hefty cuts on the imminent release of its replacement, so they are probably wanting to clear as much inventory as they can.

How many reviewers will test fastest DDR5 on ADL then test some mid range 3600c16 that is less than half price on AMD instead of 3800c14/4000c14.

AMD R5 4500 'waste of AMDs reputation and credibility'

No real defending these at the prices they are sold for, they are scrap chiplets/failed APU’s.

AMD R5 4500 'waste of AMDs reputation and credibility'

No bad products just bad prices. Looks like they have various failed dies that they want rid off, problem is they should be far cheaper as they are scrap essentially.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D retail processor has been tested ahead of launch

They did bring this up and SOTTR benefits heavily from DDR5 and even that crap DDR5 was beating 3200 c14 on 12900K Would be nice to see DDR4 4000C14 on both

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D retail processor has been tested ahead of launch

I don’t think they are being genuine at this point arguing why/against including 720p benchmarks it’s been explained so many times why it’s done.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D retail processor has been tested ahead of launch

Only if it regresses in gaming which its solely marketed at this time around, AMD even said its not aimed for productivity. It has lower boost clocks so anything that doesn't hit the cache heavily will show a regression this is not unexpected..

    Raptor Lake Leaks

Zen 3 were leading game performance for the most part, certainly out of the box performance. 10th gen was better in some games if you spent time/money overclocking and tweaking cache and memory.

    12900KS

9900KS was much rarer I think and wasn't on sale very long at all, I had three and they all did 5.3 all core so were a cut above regular 9900K. It can also be hard to say as when Intel announce these models they keep all the best bins so you will see the max bin quality of the regular model...

    12900KS

Few people have got them already and they don’t seem to be anything special bin wise, seem to be pushing more volts than anything. Time will tell but doesn’t seem to be as good as 8086K or 9900KS as they were generally top bins.

AMD Announces ThreadRipper Pro 5000 series (Zen 3)

Companies won't buy from the website, normally get massive discounts going through your reseller compared to website prices same as when HP, DELL desktops/laptops/server they have even more room to maneuver on these as profit margins are higher.

AMD confirms Ryzen 7 5800X3D launches this spring, Zen4 Raphael in 2H 2022

The weakness of Zen for gaming is latency which is why it has such large L3 to compensate for it. You can clearly see this when comparing overclocked memory latencies around 50ns for Zen 3 to around 35ns for Intel 10th gen. Any game that strongly benefits from memory overclocking as an outlier...

AMD confirms Ryzen 7 5800X3D launches this spring, Zen4 Raphael in 2H 2022

I don't think Its rushed or anything it seems its a server feature but they needed to do something with bins that don't make the grade. Show the 5900X3D but then when it comes to actual mass production they don't want to waste 2 chiplets with vcache so just release 5800X3D and market to gamers...

AMD confirms Ryzen 7 5800X3D launches this spring, Zen4 Raphael in 2H 2022

Probably getting crap bins so they could be doing this as safety measure as overclocking might push thermals too far. Shame as would have been nice to recover those lower clocks from regular 5800X at least.

AMD Announces ThreadRipper Pro 5000 series (Zen 3)

Kind of sad to see that TRX40 won't get an upgrade as when it came out they did say it would support multiple CPU release, but guess it does make sense as very niche product.
