    Which Uni?

Another vote for Warwick here. Two of my three kids went there and had a fab time. The campus is great and the surrounding areas where the off-campus accommodation is (like Leamington Spa) are also nice. Degrees from Warwick are very well regarded. My daughter was able to follow-up her...

    Go-to board for 5950x

Not sure whether you saw the pre-edit post but I'll definitely go for one of those Tomahawk options (but possibly not the Intel chipset one I asked about... ). Thanks for the input everyone. :D

    Go-to board for 5950x

I know the timing for an upgrade isn't great, but really old home-server has died so I need to upgrade the main PC and relegate the current one to server duties. I don't upgrade very often (my current main PC is based around a Xeon x5650  ) so I'm probably going to go for high-end AM4...

Can I have cable broadband and BT broadband in one house?

I have worked from home for years and have had Virgin cable + ADSL/FFTC (currently from Zen, but used BT and Plusnet previously) as a backup after a period when Virgin had a few issues. I have the Virgin hub in modem mode, hooked up to a TP-Link router and providing DHCP but no wifi. The Zen...

    Your number one Christmas song?

I'll admit that I really don't like many (any...?) of the 'Christmas No.1 hit' type of Christmas song. A good choir singing traditional carols is great for me - or for a more modern twist pretty much anything Christmas related by Pentatonix.

    Greta Thunberg

Yes, that's correct. Same applies to Diesel cars - you know, those ones which the Government was encouraging everyone to buy until a few years ago. My son needs to change his car as he lives right on the edge of the ULEZ. See...

Banking offer: LLoyds Graduate Scheme vs Santander Credit Risk

Having dealt a little with both of those banks over the last decade (as a consultant not an employee) I would definitely pick Lloyds. Generally a nice culture and friendly people.

    Deep Dive Dubai

60m is well beyond safe depth for regular recreational diving, so I doubt that there will be a large number of tourists qualified to take advantage of the lower 30m of it. It's sort of cool and would be interesting to do as a one-off, but the absence of any aquatic life in there would make it...
