Ukraine Invasion - Please do not post videos showing attacks/similar

Finland joining NATO is literally the most amusing news all year. Way to go Vlad, you've knocked it out the park with the strategies. :D

    Cardio fitness

I'm 50 years old, have a resting HR of around 54/55 and on a full bore sprint I can see 190bpm. In a 1 hour race scenario I'll see 170bpm average. These guides really do need to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Thanks Jonny! Am I right in presuming anything 10 speed is also 9 speed compatible then?

    Velodrome Action

Indeed, I have an outdoor velodrome 2 miles down the road. Proper warm up and ensure you fuel correctly is my two top tips! Any particular questions feel free to ask.

I've got a similar worry - GP5000 non TL on Roval carbon rims - insanely difficult to get on in the warmth of the house, god help me if I ever needed to fix a puncture out on the road in the cold/rain. They are the sole reason I now carry three tyre levers and two tubes as I'm banking on the...

    BMW and M Power Owners

Hi Jonny. Hope you and your brother are well. Always around, just mostly lurking in the cycling section here as I prefer cycling to driving! Last year I did 6,000 miles on my road bike, and around 5,000 a year in my car.

Super useful to get the car warmed up or cooled down before you get to the car. I could start the car and have the cabin warm up or cool down from 100 miles away (pointless, but it's possible), it's all done off the phone app so you don't need to be near the car at all. Also you can unlock the...

My V90 does it, it is really useful, but not a deal breaker.

Ok, thanks chaps. I think I need to start the ball rolling. I potentially may not be majorly fussy on spec, driving a V90 R Design at the moment which does come with a good spec, some of the V90 bells and whistles are a must, some I could live without/leave behind. Does the 530d M Sport...

I almost know the answer before I ask the question - but are the lead times on say something like a 530d Touring presently quite long? I'm in need of a new car for the end of May (this year!) - I've not even started looking yet, do I need to get my skates on?!

Life insurance products - income protection, critical illness, death benefits, etc.

I get paid 6 months salary if I fall ill or have an accident so I put a 6 month excess on my permanent health and it dropped the premiums nicely. Also, I opted for an 80% of usual net pay monthly indemnity limit (as if I was at home laid up I would likely save on a number of current...

****The Official Road Bicycle Gallery Thread****

Had this for a few months now: SL7 Pro. Bit of drama with the (overly large) front disc which honked like a goose for weeks till I replaced it with a smaller one. Love it.

I tend to use Rock n Roll red all year round. Very thin/watery but seems to get 'inside' the chain easily as part of that. Doesn't gunk up at all.
