My S22 ultra arrived yesterday. I've upgraded from the S20+
Now I always have my phone in vibrate and that is the biggest disappointment so far the vibration intensity compared to my S20 is so weak I am missing notifications cause of it.
This could be a deal breaker may have to return it.
Our 6 month ordeal is now over, we exchanged and completed on the 22nd. :) Still surrounded by boxes but we are in. It was a surreal day, a rude awaking with a call from my solicitor at 7:30am saying it may not happen as he'd been trying to get in touch with our buyers solicitor all day the day...
Our ordeal is still ongoing we've been given an ultimatum from the vendors we are buying off exchange no later than the 15th with completion on the 21st December failure to do so and they will relist the property for sale.
The problem is our buyer's solicitor taking forever to do anything...
I also cancelled my DD with green as soon as the announcement landed.
Moving house soon so I'd like to at least get something from Shell before then so I can settle any balance and close the account.
Any former Green customers heard from Shell Energy? I've had their welcome email and that's all. Provided a final read to green as requested at the end of September radio silence since.
Finally had some progress on our sale this past few weeks, enquiries have all been satisfied, the buyers mortgage valuation was done on Monday. Today we got told that the buyers lender has down valued our sale by £10k. Which is exactly the amount over asking price the buyers offered originally...
I am not sure, I'll ask tommorow.
I know they have had a survey done a very basic one the guy was only around for 20 minutes.
They have done searches which I believe were completed on the 8th September.
Bit of a rant, we've been in the process of buying a new house since mid July.
We accepted an offer on our house and had an offer accepted on a house we like within the same week. It's all been plodding along since then bar the occasional prod of solicitors where needed.
Last Friday we...
Mondeo ST220 I had always wanted one, test drove it enjoyed it bought it.
A week in the battery died, no big deal batteries die. Dealer replaced it. Still tainted the ownership experience a little.
I had come from a 2004 Volvo S60 which in comparison to the Mondeo had infinitely better build...
I would go for a 252 PS A4 Avant over the S4 not many about though.
This one looks like a good example

I'm also on the look out for either of these, equipment wise its very hard to find one with driving assistance tour pack which gives adaptive cruise control. I use this all the time in my Golf and would miss it.
If you can put up with the subjective looks is a BMW 640i or 630d GT worth a look? Not strictly SUV type car I know but it does have a higher seating position than the equivalent 5 series. I've been looking at a replacement car for my Golf for my growing family considered a 530d touring but they...
My list driving since 2004
1989 Renault 5 TL - First car it was free with 49 bhp! And a manual choke
1996 Toyota Paseo - bought it from a friend, you didn't see many of these on the road.
2000 Nissan 200SX - rebuilt the engine in this there is a thread on here somewhere documenting the whole...
This is my second week in my new job.
It's an odd experience having never set foot in the office my situation is slightly unique as the team I've joined is brand new so none of us have ever actually met in person only virtually so we are all in the same situation.
It's early days but...
I am in the process of changing jobs.
I am not challenged enough in my current role to the point of being very bored and not learning anything and there is no progression beyond the role I'm in currently at my current place. So I've found a new opportunity which is far more interesting and...
Yep, rebuilt the engine in my s14a 200sx with forged internals many years ago now.
There is a thread on here somewhere documenting the journey.
I borrowed my brother's drive and garage it took about 8 months working on it mostly at weekends. It
was an enjoyable experience.
It was a great...
