Do you care for Ray Tracing "now"?

When you see what’s it’s capable of then the answer is yes. As long as it’s the full implementation not just shadows or something to limit the hit on cards. The big one for me was control with the glass in the offices it was a massive difference.

Fallout 4 CPU benchmark thread(need some Zen3 results!)

Ok, so memory overclocking was a bust with this kit and CPU, but i get different result depending on which monitor it runs on. On my second screen i get 123.9(7980) and 104.1 (11681) which is similar for one result but a lot higher for the other.

Fallout 4 CPU benchmark thread(need some Zen3 results!)

I will have a look at a memory over clock but it’s difficult as I have 4x 16 gb sticks and have to clock down to cl18 ish.I did manage to get it working before on rdr2 and saw about 3-4 fps gains on a 5600x

What "man jobs" have you done today?

I added some curtains to the gazebo, easier than the solid panels for the sides to open and close. (solid panels are at the back) And the wheels are still holding up fine :)

    Puppy toilet training advice.

We had similar issues with ours took about 10 weeks from getting her home to her figuring it out. How big is the crate? It could be that the crate is too large and gives him space to pee at one end and then sleep elsewhere. We had this issue until our trainer advised on getting a smaller crate...

What "man jobs" have you done today?

Started to build a shed. Base 1 day, block work 1 day, front and back frames a day, then roof timbers 1 day including lifting the panels into place and bolting them down. Frame is 3x2, tyvec skinned, then shiplap and painted. 100mm insulation in between and some left over weed control frantic...

    Post Your Garden!

You can try and cover it with plastic/tarp but then you have a piece of plastic/ tarp to get rid of. with ours I dug down laid 3 inches of type 1, compacted it (making sure there was a run away from the house), layer of sand to level then laid the slabs on a dry mix and brushed the dry mix...

What "man jobs" have you done today?

Bought kitchen from them about a year ago. I think they will only deal with trade still, luckily there are a few builder in the family. Prices were discounted by more than 4/5 from book as a guidline, but it seems each location negotiates their margin separately. You can try and create and...

What "man jobs" have you done today?

Frame was 180. roof was 62 in wood plus 12 for the flashing on the ridges and roughly 20 for the castors, screws and bolts about 15. So a little less than 300 all in edit: as above the frame could have been 1 size down for each bit and saved about 40

What "man jobs" have you done today?

I was thinking of sleeving the choks on a cam over the outside of the posts if the wheels don’t stop it blowing away, I would say all of the timber is a size bigger than it needs to be. I’m not sure about the chimney as I m making some side panels to fit around the sides for poor weather (surely...

What "man jobs" have you done today?

1850mm (6 1 ish) on the bottom of the cross beam. Just tall enough for me to walk under (although I still duck). 2.5m to the top of the ridge. Casters do lock, hoping the weight will keep it in place. Roof to go on later should add another 40 kg or so to the weight. Sleepers behind are 200mm...
