As a percentage difference it is pretty big. I'm not looking for cheap 6 cores, I'm just saying the new AMD processors aren't good value.

I understood it, pretty simple. The cheapest 6 core 3xxx series CPU is vastly cheaper than the cheapest 6 core 5xxx series. Same for the 8 cores. Whether AMD decided to chuck an X on the end of the name is irrelevant.

Too expensive really, especially at the low end. Intel are starting to be price competitive.

It's only been one generation of rip-off pricing from Nvidia, please don't say you are conditioned by that yet? :p The 1070 partner cards were releasing for under £350 in 2016, allowing inflation etc it should be no more than £400. But Nvidias net profit margin has over doubled in that time, so...

£500 isn't mainstream... The 3070 should be £350 - £400 for me to be 'happy' with the price.
