Thing is, if they come out in Nov again, largely paper releases last time and most people only got a card 12 months on - might as well get on an FE if the need is there I'd say.
Think there were 3080 FEs on the drop last night - £650
But in the scheme of things £799 isn't too bad for a 3070ti as they've mostly been £900+... however stock is up and prices are-a-falling currently so...
I personally think the FE is a marketing and pr triumph - it's the only interesting thing in a totally somnambulant graphics card market. Even if there are some in stock as there are currently they're so expensive you really feel like you're getting ripped off. There doesn't have to be that...
A whole bunch are in stock currently including the just released 6500xt for £199 - I know it's not highly thought of but at least it's semi affordable if you need something.
Maxi Gamer 3D Voodoo
Some kind of appalling sawn off SE which came with a PC World computer
9800XT which died and was with Asus on RMA and when their warehouse burned down I got the below instead sent
X800Pro
5900Ultra
Gainward 6800 GT
X1900XT
ATI 3870
ATI Radeon 5850 MSI Twin FrozR II 1024MB -...
I don't know what people are moaning about - PCs always seem to make a racket. I remember getting the Gainward 6800GT years ago - and when that spun up jeez it was like having Airwolf in the box

So if you bought at £175 and they can be got at £225... With ebay fees and the potential for being stuffed by someone in true ebay style it really doesn't seem worth the effort for what almost certainly is a minor loss.
I think the forum has functioned well as a technology self help group as everyone has faced the same thing - their hobby and main leisure fun transitioning into something unaffordable to many. Could do with a few decent new ‘pc-type’ strat/RPG/squad tactical games to make it all worthwhile too…
Autoscalped indeed. The other day I paid more for a graphics card than I ever thought possible (more than an entire console) and congratulated myself on a bargain. No sign of the market realigning back to ‘normal’ is there…
It's possible there'll be another FE drop - they seem to be arriving in Europe - you could possibly snag a 3060ti for £360 then if the stars align - sign up to the telegram alerts
