I mean look what happened around the 3080 launch... i think if a 4080 is hard to get - ie having to be on discord/telegram 24/7 to get one, then I think 2nd hand 3080 prices will be OK. If not I'll just hang on to my 3080fe, it should get even better when Direct Storage and mesh shaders finally...

Stable about 1 hour in BF5. i know my mem controller volts are high - it's currently on auto...if anyone has any suggested values please let me know. Mem is currently running at 3733

Great. I'll work on my RAM. I had it at 3733 with tight timings on my 3950x so will try that, though I'm hoping it might go higher on the 5800x

I've just installed a 5800x in my unify x570. I haven't had a chance to have a look at core optimiser yet, but are there any quick and dirty settings I can change to give me a bit of a boost to get me started? Or should I just start by OCing my memory?
