This - I’ve just learned to accept it.
His pace was absolutely stonking. He might not be able to get that car up there on one lap pace but, he’s still a master of these tyres.
So down to 112.5KGs this week from 116 when I started IF.
Finding it really straight forward now, not sure if this rate will continue. I’m not convinced this is water weight as I lost some weight before I started (down from 120kg at the start of the year.)
Anyone still getting out there? I'm doing Farndon to Eccleston on the River Dee tomorrow. Wanted a bit of experience on a moving river which should be fun!
Started IF two weeks ago and I’m now down 2 kilos. Finding it surprisingly straightforward.
Started at 120 just after Christmas and now 114KG. That’s the lowest since the end of 2020 which is nice.
Goal weight of 100KG. I’ve been there before and it’s a nice weight for me.
He would have been 20 seconds behind Hamilton after the pit stop without the safety car. Russell had a tremendous drive today but, let’s not pretend the safety car didn’t help him out massively.
Hamilton has won in some less than great cars. It just so happens the last 8 years he had a dominant car.
Edit: now I’ve re-read your comment you might be agreeing with my viewpoint?
I just think Hamilton has had two rotten races with some bad luck he’s not been able to overcome (safety car in Aus, Ocon at Imola).
I suppose if that car improves this weekend and Hamilton shows his talent will the rhetoric change to “Hamilton only does well in a good car”
The guy just can’t...
So… another goal ticked off. I passed my canoe and kayak coach assessment today after months of worry. Was a really good experience and felt really straightforward in the end.
I’m away that week otherwise I would have done! I’m planning on doing some lakes paddles if you are interested at all...
I think Hamilton will be appreciated more when he retires than he does now.
I can’t comprehend that as soon as he has a car that’s miles off the pace it’s enough “evidence” for some that he’s not a world class driver.
I dont see the same criticism of Alonso when he was not even in the points...
My course was incredible. My paddling took off massively!
still getting some balance issues and sore feet. How did anyone find a balance board? @Martynt74 think you made one? Are they worth it.
