They can balance the books over other products. They need to ensure their solution to back orders is fair. Offering some customers alternatives or upgrades etc and if they just cancelled others, especially after a year would not be fair.

yes it will because you are effectively buying 8 wheels. The ones the car comes with and the upgrades at full cost. If you spec a wheel upgrade, the cost is off set by the not fitting standard wheels (and tyres)
