My son has been playing F1 and Forza Horizon 5 for a while using standard PS5 and PC controllers. After having a go earlier this week I realised how rubbish the experience was, so got him a Thrustmaster T300 RS GT wheel & pedals and this Ferrari SF1000 wheel for it. The wheel is stunning; made...
What's changed - probably just used the time to think it through and apply answers to the negatives.
Negative : Windfall tax would deter energy firms from investing in the UK.
Response : companies that increase investment in the UK could earn a discount on the additional tax.
Yes it not...
Exactly - the potential windfall tax will maybe raise about £7bn. People will no doubt be moaning about how little financial help their household receives from this.
As £7bn divided by 25 million households is only £250 each, or £21 a month.
The QR-Lite which comes with the McLaren wheel is useless. I was getting a clunking noise on turn in, both left and right, when I Googled it seems there are many people with the same problem. The basic QR doesn't hold it tight enough on the spindle, so there is a little bit of movement :(
Does anyone have any recommendations for a general arcade - Forza/ GT / NFS style wheel which works with the CSL DD?
Would prefer a leather / harder wearing material and ideally in the lower £200 - £300 ish price bracket.
Mercedes list the AMG GTR kerb weight at 1,650Kg, this includes fuel tank 90% full, driver 68 kg, and luggage 7 kg.
BMW puts the M4 CSL kerb weight at 1625kg with the same additions included.
Also, that’s one small/skinny driver - LH weighs more than that!
Back in the 70's the car market was a lot different - if you had the money for a special car you could order one.
Now you need to be related to the CEO, be a 50% shareholder, have 15 year buying history of a fleet of other cars from the brand, to even get a sniff at any BMW or Porsche limited...
Also in the BMW press release they said this CSL was more road focussed than track, hence the road bias spec.
The wireless charging is an option, along with all the other personal/driving assistant stuff and the rest of what you posted is software, which I don't think adds to the weight :p
Car weights have been creeping up, since forever.
Yes the M4 CSL is heavy compared to the E49 CSL (~1400kg), but that was heavy compared to the original 1972 CSL (~1200kg's).
It'll probably be amazing to drive and be 4x the value in 15 years.
