The problem you have is that both companies have new cards coming out in about 4 months time. For me it’s not a great time to by a graphics card.
If this card is second hand it might have a mining bios on it. For me send it back
I would make sure you are running the latest motherboard bios to stop any problems.
You might not get much of a response on this board as overclockers have not sold xfx cards for a quite a while

Your card has a metal back plate so should not need it.
