I had the Omen and the cheaper Pavilion. They both were better than the AOC when it came to ghosting, I didn’t notice any. The build quality is also far, far better especially the stand which is solid metal and very heavy meaning zero wobble. Lastly they had better viewing angles, more so...

Personally I would, they would annoy me more than a couple of dead pixels.

They're pressure marks, damage caused by improper handling, being knocked about during shipping (check the box for rogue loose pieces of Styrofoam) or someone being a tad overzealous with their finger pointing. Sadly, they cant be fixed.

Will they actually check though? I just can’t imagine a retailer going through, opening up and handling multiple monitors until they find one without dead pixels. Makes no business sense in my opinion as what do you do with the screens that you’ve opened, not only do they have dead pixels...

Pretty sure everyone got one - it wasn't on here though, a well known auction site 20% off everything (max discount £75) - it was time limited though, 12-6pm yesterday. These sold very well unsurprisingly.

I suspect a lot of people took advantage of a certain 20% off discount code yesterday bringing this down to £160 – 100% steal of a deal at that price even with dead pixels. ;)

Dead Pixels? well I've been through five of them, ordered three originally and two of those were replaced due to a faulty HDMI connection on one and a cluster of dead Pixels on the other - sadly they've ALL had dead pixels, four of them more than one but on the three I have now they're in places...

Check your box, the CD's on all mine were just floating around inside the box loose.

Just received my three, sadly two of them have multiple dead pixels and the third has an issue with the HDMI connection. :( slightly disappointed. Other than the pixels, this AOC has impressed me more than the Omen when it comes to uniformity, they have banding but its only slight and uniform...

Good question. Maybe its taking them the extra time to fit a three-pin plug :p Still though, retailers shouldn't be taking pre-orders if they haven't got an accurate estimation of stock delivery, we cant wait indefinitely.

We should be told either way considering a lot of people have placed orders here (I nearly did myself) on the back of the stock comments earlier. I think it's safe to assume ocuk is in the same boat as everywhere else with no idea if or when stock will show up.

Looks like a stock mix-up, people who have received their monitors on HUKD state they are only 1080p screens with a completely different model number.

Have a look at the Toshiba 55ZL2. 3840 x 2160 resolution and glasses free 3D. Cheap at £7000 lol.
