The Canon 400mm f5.6 L is a great lens, with the built in hood. I had one for a while. For a wildlife lens it's light weight and not crazy big, but yea a lot bigger than little EFS kit lenses.

Samsung support is very good. My warrenty had run out on my 19inch LCD but they still rang me back twice to help me with my query. Nothing they can do now that the warrenty has run out though.
