Long story short I bought a motherboard which came as untested with a high chance of it working...
What do you know it doesn't work lol.
Now, I have the missing chip which they kindly provided me in a bag without telling me that it had come off..
My question is can I re solder or fix this...
I've been out on my hardtail once or twice but the route is mainly just fields and commons which isn't the most exciting thing, at least I've given myself recovery time from bike parks! my back is thanking me for that lol.
I think the last major ride I went on was forest of dean in October time...
It's been since before Christmas now since I've used my evil and its starting to get quite depressing, the closest place to me is Cannock which is over an hour away which obviously I can't justify traveling :(
I fear that I'll no longer be any good at jumping and the first black or downhill run...
Wow OK so, just did a little play with watt man.
Was able to get it running at 2730mhz with a
.25 undervolt
It was only in modern warfare so not stability tested but running at under 70c
Think I may have a golden card!
Only if you want to sync it all in 1 program, if not just use the trixx software and the nitroglow feature.
I did have to uninstall gigabyte rgb fusion 2.0 though to get my rgb to change at all but rgb fusion is known to be a big steaming turd.
Got my nitro+ se today, only tested it in modern warefare but all seems good.
However when taking the clear wrap off the sapphire logo it peeled the entire mirrored strip off  doh, stuck right back on though.
Yeah, I had been looking at that section for a while but only ever saw 6900xts in stock until i looked on a stock alert site saying ocuk had some 6800xts in stock which were in that section!
I will admit i'll miss the solid construction of the reference but hated the red
Haha, yeah no update yet for me, still stuck on not yet received your parcel.
Yeah it ended up costing me about £200 after fees/posting my rx 6800 to upgrade to a 6800xt from here
And yeah while it may be about 10-15fps more in games that should benefit me quite abit playing at 1080p 240fps...
Had an email saying my 6800xt nitro+ se was arriving today but apprently dpd havent got the parcel yet :(
This happened last time I ordered from ocuk and it was a day or two late
Upgrading from a 6800 so while not a massive upgrade I always wanted the xt from the start anyway and at the price...
Yeah, 45-50fps in the split scenes feels fine for me especially with adaptive sync and like you say for a story game it doesn't matter hugely.
Game is definitely a nice change of pace though so far good story games are so few and far between these days I feel.
Hows everyones performance? mine is varying massively from 1080p everything maxed but no rt i get from 140+ all the way down to mid 60-70s.
Same for ray tracing, i'll be sitting comfortably at 60+fps with raytracing some scenes and then low 50s others, and then theres the split haha turned ray...
