Cant get my PC running. Fan error, crazy temps.

On the assumption that the pump is reporting correctly (and there is no reason to believe otherwise) that's odd. From those screen shots, it looks like the heat isn't being dissipated from the radiator as both CPU and the pump temps are very high. If you click pump in Corsair link, you can set...

    Sofas - where to buy?

I got my sofas from Harveys many years ago. The sofas were good. Harveys however, were atrocious. I got my sofas on credit and paid down the deposit from my only debit card. I moved and they lost my debit and contact details. As they were unable to take the money from my account nor contact...

Cant get my PC running. Fan error, crazy temps.

You could stick your head in the case - you can hear the audible hum of the pump. Just mind your ear on the fans :D Alternatively, if you can rapidly get into Windows, fire up Corsair link (if installed) and it should give you a read out on what the pump RPM is. If nothing has changed in your...

Do you keep the boxes ?

Same here. I've still got motherboard/CPU/GPU boxes galore. I tend to put the old component into the replacement component box and forget about it. One of these days I'll go through them and take a trip down memory lane... Ah trusty old GTX 280, hello old friend

Computer only reaches bios no HDD recognised.

Just a couple of thoughts; Does your HDDs spin up when you power on the computer? I'm unsure whether your PSU is modular, but if it is, is the cable fully plugged into the module port of the PSU? Hasn't come lose from the new SSD install? Have you tried plugging the disk drives into alternate...

    Just moved and CPU overheating

Sound advice already given above. One other thing to just double check is the power connector for the pump. Maybe the vibrations from the journey have dislodged it? If fully in place; from cold boot and if you have enough time before temps go too high, try to launch Corsair Link to see what...

    Pregnant Wife - Workplace

I think that was a tad harsh. Whilst I agree that their focus is running the school, that focus should also encompass the individuals contributing to the success of that school. I had a school Head Teacher who was poison for teacher morale which in turn led to an exodus of good teachers and...

    Racist! Really?

As someone who identifies as green ink, I find this offensive. I refuse to be blue washed!!! :D:p

    Racist! Really?

I'd personally never seen or heard of the older cartoons that this has been linked to. To me, it was just a caricature depicting an individual who behaved in an unsporting manner. I don't think it's racist. I don't even think it's in poor taste. It's a cartoon of someone acting like a baby...

    Before I format ....

I've seen the same before, but as mentioned already it was when the USB device drivers had gone awry. Are you able to get into Safe Mode? Does the error repeat? Also, potential daft question, you've tried all the USB ports on both the case and IO on the motherboard? This suggestion maybe a bit...

    .

From that statement, my first impression is something is not quite right on the PSU. Watching the video, my gut is saying a capacitor has failed. Would explain why it would "start" to power up and then drop off - if a capacitor is not charging to a sufficient level to discharge continuously...

    £1050+ now for GTX2080ti?

Part of me wonders whether this is some damn clever thinking on the part of Nvidia. A number of partners and stockists will still have a large amount of 1080ti stock. Pricing the 2080ti at its current level will give the nudge to the people who were on the fence as to whether to buy a 1080ti...

Poll: Will you be buying a 2080Ti/2080/2070?

Win lottery and 1080 dies at same time - Yes Otherwise, no way.

    £1050+ now for GTX2080ti?

I have an EVGA 1080 and was open to perhaps an upgrade on the graphics front should this be a solid improvement. But at that price, no chance. Amazed. Will be interested to see some gaming benchmarks, but I can't see any appeal to myself for such a leap.

    New chair

I purchased the black PU version of the Hero and so far I'm loving it. A lot firmer than my old one (I had the old one for around 15 years, so did its job) but I like that. Found my posture is much better. I think they nailed the design with this.

    Power crazed idiot at work

As mentioned, could block his number on your phone. Alternatively, depending on your workplace - if he is sending work information from his personal/work device to your personal device, is this in breach of your company data protection rules? If so, maybe a word with HR (as mentioned) or if you...

Why is my 2500k running so hot with a H100i?

Your theory makes perfect sense to me. After reading this I went back into my config and amended my pump speed to Quiet. For me, this raised my CPU temp by 4-5 degrees. Horses for courses I guess, mine likes to have that extra pumping... giggity. :D

Why is my 2500k running so hot with a H100i?

Not sure if it's any help now, but is your pump set to Quiet mode in Corsair Link? I have a H110i GTX and leave the pump on performance as the noise difference is very very minimal in my system. Also, within Corsair Link, can you check what your pump temp is? If it's high/similar to your CPU...

Spec me an airshow over summer to go to

I worked at Duxford many moons ago, so maybe a biased opinion... buuuut... I would defo recommend Duxford air shows. Flying Legends has always been a personal favourite, but sadly not been for a number of years now. But as Boycey0211 said, it can get very toasty on the right days. Make sure...

Self-drive Uber identifies woman as false positive (which inc. plastic bags)

I watched the film multiple times and from it I had a hard time seeing her until it was far too late. I haven't seen any other footage of the accident to indicate other levels of visibility. Without knowing how well all the cameras were tuned for light sensitivity it's ultimately hard to say...
