Hi, tried it all outside the case. I have the 8 pin and 4 pin eps plugged in. I tested the cpu with no cooler on and it didn't heat up at all so I suspect an issue with the cpu or motherboard pins? I did notice that the post checks had the cpu red led on also.

Battlefield is the exact game i'm trying to play... it does choke a lot. frames are up and down and it's quite painful to play even on low settings. It sits around 100 but then drops down pretty low and then back up again.
