If the boost clock is power limited then lifting that power limit will increase clocks in that scenario as I'm sure you're aware, so it can indirectly change clocks.
I assume AMD have posted average frame rates as that's standard practice, would be very odd to post maximums, as someone else pointed out, they'd be crucified come review time.
As for the 'up to' bit, I'm sure that's to include rage mode and their high end test rig, some legal reasons too I...
Thanks, though I've tried all sorts, borderless, Vsync On/Off, Triple Buffering, max FPS cap ETC.. even edited the settings.ini to tell the game how many cores my CPU has. Not sure if the game should be using more than 1 core but it doesn't for me.
3930K @ 4.2Ghz and 16gb samsung green @2133mhz here. I noticed a large FPS improvement going from stock to my current overclock with assassins creed odyssey (atleast 20% improvement), that's with a Vega 64 gaming at 3440 x 1440. Just started playing No Man's Sky and that maxes out one CPU core...
If you have access to another good quality power supply then test with that, also remove any overclocks (CPU/RAM/GPU). Could also try different drivers or even a fresh install of windows. Mine would only shut down with specific games (which I thought was odd) so make sure you document everything...
I'm wondering if someone could clarify something for me.
The HBM voltage in Wattman isn't actually anything to do with the HBM, rather it's the lower voltage limit for the core? and that the HBM voltage can't actually be changed (it's set in the cards BIOS)?
@DoneADougalOnSofa I received an...
I think most people just assumed you'd be able to use GPU/Mem overclocking and Undervolting at the same time, and rightly so IMO.
As it stands right now, manually overclocking and undervolting is far superior, shame really as I was looking forward to seeing what the software would set the clocks...
Yup, would've been better received as a beta driver, clearly not ready for release.
I do like the features they've added though, will give it a few months and try again, hopefully by then the features I want to use work.
The artifacting I was getting earlier doesn't seem to be related to the undervolting option I had enabled when it first happened as it still does it with the card at stock and all option set to default so must be a driver issue with that game I guess.
Are the undervold, GPU or Mem overclocking features doing anything for anyone else? If I apply one of them (say GPU overclocking) it'll seem like it's doing something (screen flickers, looks like it's applying) but clocks stay the same. This is with a Sapphire Nitro Vega 64
Quite impressive to see Ultra settings at 3440 x 1440 and playable frame rates. Is the field of view of 55 default? I prefer 90 myself. I would personally drop some other settings to get a more constant 60+FPS, not that it would make any difference for me, I'm terrible at BF :/
Thanks for the...
