    The official Philips BDM4065UC thread

well, replacement arrived today!. im usually perfectly fine with refurbished units (sometimes prefer them to new as i know at least someone has taken time to check it over). BUT. dosent bode too well when the whole monitor is bent in the middle, has a curve in the top bezel, the white...

    The official Philips BDM4065UC thread

Well, Actually quite surprised in the end!. finally logged a repair/replace request with philips and it was pretty damned painless despite being initially told by them to go back to the retailer twice. Logged issue in less than 10 mins, dpd are coming to pick up the faulty monitor on monday...

Well, just as an update, and after a bit of back and forwards chat with ocuk and all that, i still cannot return the monitor to OCUK direct, they are adamant that it has to go to the manufacturer still. Apparently the 6 year thing is the time you have to take a warranty claim to court if the...

All in all thus far, i have actually been quite pleased by the display colour wise. I know this gets said all the time but maybe anandtech received a unit with a slightly bum screen. Resolution wise, its not superior to the 1440p screen on my S6 but in regards to colour accuracy, I do preffer...

At the moment, its only an issue for people that like to fast switch between multiple apps and heavily multitask. It just seems to be griping most people just out of principle really. It didnt faze me for the first couple of hours use at all but i applied the patch anyway for future use...

In all honesty, thanks to the bezels on the OP3 being really super slim, i didnt really feel a difference in size with the exception of the OP3 feeling thinner in the hand. (and a lot less slippy than the s6!). Its only marginally bigger and still quite one handable :-)

It's a pentile amoled however it's a totally different gen panel to the horrible old pentile panels Samsung used to churn out. Gotta be honest, the colours are punchy, it's sharp, defined and damned beautiful. Always used to hate pentile matrix displays but this one's spot on.

not really a bench-marker myself either. just put it through a lot of different tests off the bat so see how much of a difference it would be between my old S6. outside of bench-marking, the ONLY current issue of concern at present is the ram management. the fix works just perfect and even...

Hmm thanks moog!, might give that a try actually, although im not usually one for using outdated drivers. usually like having that up to date to get the best out of games and using the 362 driver from now on to stop the black screening might end up biting me in the rear end in the future if i...

interesting to see this isnt isolated at least. thanks for getting back to me so fast ketma. Really wish i could get mine replaced through OCUK too. i contacted them a few days back but as it was over 30 days since i purchased it, they told me i could only go direct through phillips.

Ok, Think i need to resurrect this thread as i need a bit of help from the other owners on here.
