Wow, can't believe this thread is still being posted in!
Was talking about hours played in games with some friends earlier today and it made me think of the thousands I must have spent in MoH:AA. Loved every minute! (Okay not every minute...) One Google search later and ended up here.
Played...
Following on from this I had someone trace the physical cable route and it looks like there's been a slight mistake with someone almost bending the patch cable back on itself at the switch end... certainly in a tighter radius than the guidelines suggest! Getting a replacement cable tomorrow and...
When you set it up you would have either specified an IP address, or selected DHCP and the IP would have been given to you in the console output.
Try using this address (as Nikumba has said) rather than the host name.
"\\" is the start of a UNC path.
"http://" is the prefix for a web address.
A bog-standard TP-Link unmanaged switch.
Other devices are connected at 1Gbps with no issues which is confusing - I'll check the port on the switch to confirm it's not an individual fault with the port but that seems unlikely - in fact I'm pretty confused by this and the only reports I can find...
As a follow up to the above, I can't seem to get a gigabit connection even with Server 2008 R2. The network status cycles from "cable disconnected", "enabled", "identifying" and then back to "cable disconnected" every 5-10 seconds or so.
Any ideas? No problems with 100 Full, but cannot get...
Hmm - I've finally got around to installed ESXi 4.1 onto the new box; but strangely it won't let me select gigabit ethernet without hanging. If I set it to Auto-Neg it selects 100Mbps FD and selecting any kind of 1Gbps causes the network connection to drop.
Anyone have any ideas on this one...
I might be way off here, but won't putting the AP onto a different subnet and leaving the gateway pointing at the router solve this problem? I believe that the Linksys firmware allows you to specify exactly those details.
Unfortunately I can't link you to a competitor.
However, I believe I can tell you that I found them through Google Shopping by searching for the part code - which is 633724-421.
Hope that helps.
I leave my PC on all the time, and have a DL360 in the garage that obviously doesn't have an "off" mode. My last electricity statement was £80 for just over 2 months - so I can't really complain... and don't see a need to turn stuff off!
^^^ :D:D
That's the wonder of a telephone call as opposed to email - especially if you don't dial the 08xx number you can get lucky!
Now ordered at £249.40 over the phone after confirming with them once again.
Nothing, as I wasn't going to buy until at least 00:01 on 1st Feb (which is still tonight) and the company have confirmed they are an authorised reseller :p
"The promotion is valid only on new units purchased and invoiced directly from HP or a UK HP authorised reseller. Orders must be invoiced between 1 and 28 February 2011. Claims for purchases direct from HP distribution partners are ineligible"
You're absolutely correct. Although the difference...
Interesting point. I bought one of the previous models direct from HP so didn't even consider that I'd need to use an authorised dealer.
Saying that though, the claim form doesn't make any mention of it
Cheapest I have found including VAT is £249.40. Unless someone can tell me it's possible to find it cheaper then I'll be getting out my credit card in a few hours time... :D
Not sure what result that would have - the HP servers I've used would report a fan failure and refuse to boot if you did that.
I fitted in-line resistors to mine to reduce RPMs (and therefore noise) after noting that the recommended HP solution was exactly that but using an expensive cable...
Oh HP how I love thee. I've seen these for around the £260 mark from a couple of places and with the original one running so well I was planning on getting one of the newer ones at full price... I'll wait until Tuesday to order it!
Anyone been able to find it less than £263 after VAT?
