You are saying that they wait until they have stock piled enough to satisfy the whole market? So that no one can get the cards until later? The only difference this would make is that everybody would be waiting longer.

Sales are up about 2-3x normal rates especially on GFX cards and cpus, everyone is stuck at home with nothing to do, so what do they do? They play computer games, they get bored of their current games, they want to buy new games, their old gfx card does not support the new games, they upgrade...

Not the only thing stopping the bots, googles captcha also prevents purchases during launches. If someone has found a way around googles captcha well then we have other issues to worry about too I guess.

Only a suggestion at the moment but the idea was liked, as for avoiding throw away users it might be harder, though 1 shipping address per user would likely deal with the problem if you have siblings you wanted to buy for then unlucky.

Orders are generated on the website and then downloaded to the warehouse creating a warehouse order number (as the warehouse can also take orders over the phone) OC number is the website ordernumber, the other is your warehouse ordernumber. Please don't put your order number in public though.
