Films and series generally here to take my mind of it ... although that it only because I'm doing longer tempo intervals atm instead of the threshold/VO2 stuff - its not easy :(

Shorter intervals and 2x20 stuff I can just stick to the radio...
£150 for an indoor only power meter seems a lot! Just use the virtual power from trainer road or something - as ong as its consistent it doesn't really matter (and KK power must be pretty close anyway as I seem to get the same figures on the work Watt Bikes)
How do you celebrate having the day off and getting the ceiling painted in the morning (hate painting ceilings!) ... a quick spin on the turbo. Did the new Angels and then decided to give the new Nine Hammers a go too. Bit of a mistake there, was going 'alright ...ish' until the last three...
Its an effort to get on the turbo but its always satisfying once you've done it (think thats mainly because its more focused then heading out on the road)
Turns out I've put on a kg, but thats a good thing if anything and more then made up for it with my FTP going up by 9 - now at 237 FTP :)...
Havent been able to get out at all this weekend (or last weekend for that matter) due to a dodgy wrist. The intention is to get on the turbo later for an FTP test but, I know what that invovles so trying to psyche myself up for it
I frequently get (the best word is probably) attacked in RP by these groups. Not moving fast enough not to be overtaken by their gang but too fast that they can get past quickly so you're just boxed in for ages as theres no way a 'foreign' rider can sit in the middle for a while
In Kent this...
Lunch,2x chocolate bars and a sticky toffee pudding will soon solve that problem! Bit ruined too ... still was a good ride even though the last stretch felt more like survival than anything else
Something like http://www.strava.com/routes/1094845?
Usually go the L->B route out and back to Surrey (so Mitcham/Carshalton/Chipsted etc etc) but trying other ways out. Take the lead if any of that looks horrible.
Meet at RP cafe at 8 or a bit earlier as we gain an hour? Will be on a...
I'll be up for that - will let you know tomorrow ... what is 'not too far, not too hilly'? Will leave the route up to you (I always have my usual Leith/Whitedown/Box route of about 65 miles as backup)
Off to Kent to have a quick spin round sevenoaks tomorrow but could go out Sunday too ... what you thinking?
Could bring out the summer bike as its dry but more likely will stick with the CAAD8
Same - just started using it again after a few weeks off and moved it into the living room (as opposed to the kitchen) so I can have the TV on. That being said, still bailed at 1hr 20 our of 1hr 30 ... main reason was it was past 8 and I was getting hungry
A Better solution is surely to sack...
Nothing wrong with a CAAD8 - was my first road bike over 2 years ago and still going strong as the commuter. Feel I should give it a full strip down or something though as its coming up to 10k km :o
Posh turbo there ;)
I did A Very Dark Place last week after someone started talking about it - put me right off the turbo atm ... will probably wait until mid October now when its dark/cold outside
I have a KK Road machine with a lowly FTP figure of 224. Done a few 2x20s and 20 min tests on a wattbike and they also seem pretty consistent so your numbers could very well be right
But ... dont the pro's have figures around that? Obviously they must weigh less but if you just need to shed...
