    £600 w/o Graphics Card

Thanks for the opinions guys. I was selling it as a favour to a friend who likes to game but last time he also bought my old PC (though it was more outdated at the time than my current system is). However, I may have to reconsider it as I figured there would be at least a decent performance gain...

    £600 w/o Graphics Card

What would I benefit from it apart from faster boot times? I have a large steam library of games up that take up around 750GB and that's only a "select few" - I don't know which ones I'd put on it and if it would be benefical at all. Currently things like Photoshop, Dreamweaver etc. all launch...

    £600 w/o Graphics Card

I am selling my current PC (in signature) to a friend for £250 and was looking to use that money in conjuction with around £350 to build another PC. I already have a 780GTX that I will be using so that is the only thing set in stone. I'm thinking, i5 Haswell, 8GB low profile DDR, at least 1TB...

Thanks guys. I think I'd rather get the low profile RAM and try and use the existing Cooler I have.

    Upgrade Advice

Thanks, I figured the upgrade leap wasn't that much but going forward it may be better to get Haswell when essentially I would be buying new. Thank you for the recommendations. I believe you are correct, I am not sure what he is using but I am currently using Corsair Vengeance RAM. I will...

    Upgrade Advice

Hi guys, A friend of mine is considering buying a new PC but his budget is limited. I am considering passing down my current PC to him at a reasonable price. This actually happened with my last PC around 4 years ago, which lasted him well since then and only cost him £100! Anyway I need...

    Assassin's Creed IV- Black Flag

Vsync is your issue. And a lot of other peoples. The in-game vsync will cause your framerate to jump between 30 and 60. Without it on you will get a lot of screen tearing. Use D3DOverrider for the best of both worlds. You get a smooth framerate probably sitting around 50-60 and you get no screen...

XCOM : Enemy Unknown - by Firaxis Games - Thread

There is a difference between "breaking" the difficulty and readjusting it. I don't think anything is broken. Classic is probably harder, and normal is probably slightly easier than it was...but I wouldn't say it's a major issue. You definitely don't have to stick to just inside areas, you'll be...

    CPU Temps too high!

I guess I will open it up again once I get home and ensure all the pegs are properly down. Thanks :)

    CPU Temps too high!

What cooler would you guys recommend? My friend had a monstrous after market cooler, a coolermaster... but it was just way to clunky and big to fit in either his or my motherboard/case. So preferably something a similar diameter to the stock cooler. Height isn't as much of an issue.

Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

Same here, I really want it. I did enjoy BF3, but I just resubbed to WoW so I don't feel like I'd get the most out of both of them if I buy this as well. The game just seems too buggy which sucks, because launch when everyone is levelling is the best time to get in on these.

http://store.antec.com/Product/enclosure-gear_for_gamers/nine-hundred/0-761345-15900-5.aspx This is very close to the case I have. It has a very big fan on the top, which runs very fast and also it has a smaller back fan as well. I've heard people say that the stock 2500k cooler is pretty...

    CPU Temps too high!

Hey guys, I was hoping that you could help me identify what the potential issue is with my CPU temperatures. I've always ran my CPU at stock speeds with a stock cooler, but since I decided to upgrade my graphics card from a 560TI to a 880GTX. I figured now was a good time to overclock my CPU...

In comparison to all the other days.. this is a good day for sure. There are some really nice titles; GTA 4 Complete, TES Oblivion, NFS, Singularity, L4D2 are all really good games that everyone can consider. Brother in Arms is great, you command a few units of soliders. Cover based, like company of heroes in shooter format I guess. Covering fire etc. Decent story also.
