    Samsung Odyssey G6 vs G7

Was looking at a G6 since I can get one cheap. But I found out (read) the bluetooth remote will interfere with your Samsung TV remote (issue with all Samsung Smart monitors), interface (same as a Samsung TV) is laggy and last update (same software as TVs) borked the 3.5mm audio out. So yeah...

    ** NEW SAMSUNG ODYSSEY G7/G9 MONITORS 27-49" AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER **

I have the 32" and a 2080TI, not even using VRR/Gsync at the moment, doubt any games would go below 80fps anyway. Maybe I'm retarded but I don't see the point of VRR if your fps are not going super low. Monitor feels super responsive and contrasts/colors in games are amazing. A new experience...

    ** NEW SAMSUNG ODYSSEY G7/G9 MONITORS 27-49" AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER **

I'm in Switzerland, got my G7 32inch today, coming from a AW3418DW + PG278QR, running a 2080TI. Not updated FW yet. Love the size, PPI is fine for me as I have a deep desk and my eyesight is far from 20/20, anyway it's normal sharp, nothing obvious about it. Amazing colors and contrast even...

    ** NEW SAMSUNG ODYSSEY G7/G9 MONITORS 27-49" AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER **

Sounds like it's the game he's playing, actual FPS are going lower than 60-240FPS VRR range. Guy is only checking FPS counter on screen... Thinking of a 32" with my 2080TI I should be ok but little wary about the 80-240VRR range vs 60-240 of the 27".

1080ti prices. Has everyone got a screw loose?

Quickly went through the thread. No one has seen the Gamer Nexus article? from his info, the manufacturers are not ordering chips from Nvidia or AMD they are scared the mining craze will drop and the miners will dump their cards on the 2nd hand market. Also RAM price up 30%, whatever profit...

ultrawide vs 2 1440p? plus some questions for wide screen gamers.

I've got the Alienware AW3418DW since about two weeks. Coming from dual PG278Q/PG278QR setup. The screen is extremely responsive even against the TN panels (still have the PG278QR) and as shown in TFTcentral review. Very nice experience with extra FOV and IPS colors, for now I would agree with...

Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Ultra Gaming Owners Thread

I got the same mobo for my latest build, been on Asus for a long time before. Got it mainly for the price and amount of fan headers. Ok so the board works, but compared to Asus, Bios is awful imho, very confusing to use/how it works and the windows apps are very crappy compared to the Asus ones...

    The Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q – a 27” 1400p 144Hz Monitor with G-SYNC

I'm not going to say I'm a monitor expert and I agree the TN ROG is good but I find the IPS one to be quite a bit better image wise. Maybe my TN ROG was a not so good one, I know that the image wasn't very uniform over the whole screen, maybe someone more picky would have asked an RMA for it...

    The Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q – a 27” 1400p 144Hz Monitor with G-SYNC

I got a PG279Q since my PG278Q was in RMA, replacement is at the office, took only one week. Image is much nicer on PG279Q, but I can tell it's slower, I got used to it I think, not so bothersome. Response to inputs is fine it's just that it smears the image more when you move. I guess if you...

    ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q 144hz 2560x1440 IPS G-Sync.

I played some more BF4, 144Hz (dont know how to use 165Hz?), Gsync. I thought it was ok. What's funny I can run my 980Ti @stock and have a good feeling. With the PG278Q I need to run some overclock on the 980Ti to get a good screen response feeling.

    ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q 144hz 2560x1440 IPS G-Sync.

I actually have a XL2411 too but I only used it a few days while the PG278Q is being rmaed and the PG279Q delivered. I'll have to play some more to decide if it bothers me so much or not. But the image is so nice... might have to keep both the 278Q and 279Q...

    ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q 144hz 2560x1440 IPS G-Sync.

I don't post often but I've been around for a while. So just got one of these and I also have a PG278Q (which I just RMAed and have to pickup the replacement for which arrived at my office). The PG279Q I got has no apparent defects, I can't see any lightbleed (at least nothing like you see on...

    SLI 780ti Vs single GPU?

980ti better than 780sli in games, just upgrade myself from 780sli. One 980ti is more than enough for 1440p.

    Driving the ROG swift

Just upgraded to a single 980Ti from 780sli, to me the response on the screen in regards to the mouse inputs is a lot snappier with the 980ti than the 780sli even if the benchmark scores are lower.

    Want a 144Hz Monitor, but...

I think it's not so bad once you adjust the colors, not great but not bad either.

    1440p IPS or 120hz?

First time I played with a 120Hz screen (have 144Hz now) I thought it was like as if I was cheating. If you have a computer than can push the framerate then it's definitely a plus, I don't think I'll ever go back to 60Hz. Maybe Gsync will change that, wait and see, eagerly waiting to see what...

    Is my GTX 780 Faulty?

Dunno what Gigabyte is up to, but I read of many people with issues lately. I had to return a Windforce 780Ti for not being stable at stock clocks.

    BenQ XL2420T Now available

Long time lurker here. Got one of these XL2420T, so smooth, really worth the money, reading this thread was the deciding factor. Thanks for the setting too.

Another asus p67 owner with issues

I updated my bios from my main C: NTFS partition just fine. I had to switch to a new power supply. My Thermaltake 700W just did not supply enough power for stable function, it works fine with a 9650@4Ghz though... Also reinstalling Windows fixed some funny issues.
