Yeah I might just try and see. @LtMatt are you using a single monitor? I think the issue only applies to multi setups AND if Freesync aren't enabled for both screens, but I can't be too sure.

Tempted to get the 7900 XT but been reading about high idle power draws with multi-monitor setups (currently using ROG PG279Q and LG C2 42"). Would I be affected?

Turd card due to its pricing, much like the 4080 or any other cards for that matter where good value is not even considered. That's all I have to say.

If it was a sensible choice and solid purchase getting one like you said, they'd be flying off the shelves. Fair play if you think it's worth it.

You wouldn't get a 3090ti. You'd get a 3080ti or 3080 which are still highend cards, close to a 3090ti but costs much much less. Or wait.

This is the type of thinking that's part of the problem.

Expect 5000 series to be 20%-40% more expensive than their predecessors because of all the consumers (4090 and no doubt soon-to-be 4080 buyers lol) supporting and opening up their wallets to Nvidia's anti-consumer prices.

People are already being scalped by Nvidia by paying for a 4090 :D. They're playing the entire market by making it look good "value" compared to the 3090ti or 4080.

Be that as it may, it does indirectly affect those who don't buy in some way since Nvidia knows they can get away with prices, and will continue to overprice their cards for generations to come.
