Well in the end finally got sick of it and got round to swapping the AX760 for my AX860 and it seems fine now so must have been the PSU.

Sorry been away all weekend but thanks for the replies, had an anti-vandal switch kicking about so fitted that and it's still the same so not the switch, any other ideas? PSU maybe? it's a Corsair AX760 and only a couple of years old of which maybe only used for a quarter of that

Not done anything to it yet, power button works when it wants to which is most of the time, I was gonna contact Corsair see if they would sent me a new switch.

I would use the 3 front 120's as intakes and the rear 120 and top 140's as exhaust.

Have changed the battery and it still does the same, checked all connections, no signs of a water leaks anywhere, who knows, not the end of the world as i can just put my hand behind the PC and switch the power supply off and back on and it starts up, just a strange one.

Bit of a random update, tried that PC last night again and didn't start off the power button so just left it as didn't need to use it, got in from work today and it was running lol, seemed to have started itself up sometime during the day, not sure how long it was on for. Not had time to swop...

Thanks, i did think of the battery so will change that and see, just tried it again after being shut down for maybe 16 hours and it has started up fine.

Hey, My older second PC will not start up by pressing the power button but if i switch it off at the wall and wait 30 secs or so then switch it back on it will start off the power button, any idea what might cause this? Specs: Asus Sabertooth X58 Intel i7 950 GTX580 6Gb corsair dominator 240Gb...

Sorry for the late response, i use Aida64 to monitor temps on my G19s screen and highest i get on motherboard is 40° and PCH is 50°, not 100% sure where the temp is taken from for the motherboard though.

It was winter when i was having issues, CPU has been stock for 2 months and tbh it runs everything fine at that anyway so i'll just leave it where it is, also i don't think temps were the issue as it's all watercooled and highest i used to get on CPU was around 52° and around 48° on GPU's while...

Well it's been a couple of months with the CPU @ stock and no random reboots, have had 1 crash playing Farcry 5 where it just froze and had to reset but other than that it's been fine, i suppose it does look towards the CPU overclock becoming unstable but i still can't rule out PSU as it would...

Yea i reset the bios a couple of days ago and just changed the memory to XMP profile, been OK so far but will have to give it a month or so to rule the overclock out.

I have a newer Corsair AX860 which was in a year or so ago but i swapped it out for the Antec when i got the second card as i thought it would be borderline at full load, the Antec will be 6 years old maybe.

Shut down again this morning while it was just sat there idling, have reset the overclock to stock just to rule that out.

Yea i was thinking degradation being as it's 4 years old, i'll see how it goes on 3.9GHz.

It was at 4GHz and i did up the voltage a tad when i first started getting problems, it's now running 3.9 at the same upped voltage, i haven't had a crash since but it's only been 1 day since.

Hi, Thanks for the reply, yes i have disabled auto restart but it still reboots, all i get in event viewer is kernel 41.

Hi, Been a while since i posted on here, as the title says it just randomly reboots, sometimes goes for a month fine then it might do it 2 or 3 times in a week so it's getting a bit annoying. Have tried playing with the CPU overclock a bit but nothing has worked and without any error messages...

I used display driver uninstaller and tried again but got the same so used that again and went with the previous driver 382.53 and it seemed better for a bit but again i have no nvidia control panel on right on right click and it seems to hang a little loading the right click menu first time...
